Embody Mindfulness
Be here for your life. Alexander Technique is an opportunity to slow down and notice what is happening beneath the surface.
Connecting the body and the mind
Coming back to yourself
With so much in the world bombarding our attention and energy, it is easy for our sensory systems to become overloaded.
The good news is that we can build resilience and grow our ability to choose our reactions. AT works with your nervous system to help you find a place you can come back to, a quiet place of calm you can rely on even when the outside world is chaotic. Attuned to a deeper layer of listening – to your body and your being – you can navigate ups and downs with greater balance and confidence.
Students often describe feeling more centered, not because life has become easier, but because they feel more resourced to meet it.

Mind and Body - One Conversation
The way we think affects the way we move. The way we move affects the way we think. For over a century, the Alexander Technique has explored this relationship through direct experience. It teaches us to pay attention to the whole person rather than separating mind from body.
As you bring a new quality of attention to how you do what you do in your life – sitting, standing, walking, speaking, singing, dancing – you begin to notice how your mind and body work together. Everyday moments can feel richer, clearer and more alive. As awareness grows, new possibilities appear.
Three things that change
More Space
Instead of being swept away by every thought, feeling or reaction, you begin to experience a little more room to breathe, a little more room for choosing your response.
More Choice
You may respond differently to stress. You may listen more deeply. You may discover that old patterns no longer have the same hold over you.
More of Yourself
As you get more in touch with the subtle language of your body and mind, you become more available to the experience of being you in the world, more connected to where you are.
Alexander Technique, Mindfulness Meditation and Stress
Both Mindfulness and the Alexander Technique are used to help manage stress. In a 2025 research project, participants described specific ways that mindfulness and Alexander technique can work together to address cognitive, affective, and physical responses to stress. Together they provide a comprehensive toolkit for stress management.
